West Franklin Kids VBS 2025 Program Raised Over $3000 For FrankTown Open Hearts!
At The Church at West Franklin, their VBS 2025 crew provided more than just an exciting week of music, crafts, and Bible stories—it was a mission-driven movement of generosity and faith. The children of this year’s Vacation Bible School set out to serve others, and their impact was extraordinary. Together, they raised over $3,000 to support the work of FrankTown Open Hearts, our nonprofit serving at-risk youth in the Franklin community.
This remarkable outpouring of support helps meet real, tangible needs for FrankTown students—from meals and clothing to faith-filled experiences that shape hearts and futures. It’s a beautiful example of Christian fundraising in action, led by the youngest members of our community.
FrankTown Open Hearts: Faith in Action
FrankTown Open Hearts exists to walk with at-risk youth spiritually, emotionally, and practically. We serve students in grades K–12, providing hot meals, educational support, spiritual development, life skills training, and mentorship four nights a week. For many of these students, FrankTown is not just an afterschool program—it’s a lifeline.
The mission is simple but powerful: show God’s love by being present, consistent, and compassionate in the lives of young people who often feel overlooked or unsupported. With the help of generous partners like The Church at West Franklin and other Franklin Christian Churches, we continue to build that bridge between opportunity and transformation.
Where Their Generous Donation Will Go
The funds raised through The Church at West Franklin’s VBS 2025 efforts will go directly to initiatives that help FrankTown students grow in confidence, stability, and faith:
- Nutritious summer meals for food-insecure families
- Access to Summer Bible Camp, where students can encounter Christ in a powerful way
- Back-to-school clothing and essentials, ensuring each child starts the year feeling prepared and valued
This giving effort is more than a financial gift—it’s a reflection of the Gospel in action. It’s children helping children, a Kingdom ripple effect that goes far beyond one week of group VBS.
Coming Soon: The 2025 Back-to-School Bash
The mission continues on July 29th, when FrankTown will host its annual Back-to-School Bash, including a special shopping trip to Kohl’s for the kids we serve.
Many of our students’ families struggle to afford new clothes for the school year. Children quickly outgrow shoes and basic items, and the financial burden can be overwhelming. Through this event, each student will receive:
- New shirts and pants
- Socks, undergarments, and shoes
- Items that build confidence and ensure they walk into the classroom ready to learn
Here’s how you can help:
- A gift of $50 or $100 helps cover essential clothing
- A donation of $300 will sponsor one student’s full shopping experience
